Ventuing Camp is Five Days of Activities revolving around the Venturing Program. Activities are not only designed to be fun, but to help Venturing youth to work towards their Outdoor Awards and eventually their Ranger Award. Scout will reside at Cub World on the Camp Naish Reservation near the Kansas Speedway, living in a Camping environment. Activities will include events such as Shotgun, Rifle and Handgun instruction and shooting. Archery, Swimming, Biking, Hiking, and Water Sports. In the past, they had attended a T-Bones game, and they are always coming up with a variety of fun activities.
This event is schedule for Late June in 2012, the cost is around $125.00 for the event. You do need a long-term camping Physical for this event, and if you are considering Scuba, you need the PADI physical completed as well.
CAMP NAISH
The Theodore Naish Scout Reservation mission is to provide an opportunity for Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity teams, Venturing crews, and Explorer posts, primarily from the Heart of America Council, to have fun, learn skills, and practice Scouting programs in the outdoors under their own leadership.
